Review of Casino Royale (1967) by Jordi F — 22 Dec 2018
It is the distilled essence of the original James Bond. A human being without fancy gadgets or technology or British jokes. Punishing the body to get the job done. Introducing the viewer to secret concepts linked to the double zero licensing process.
Showing also the hidden side and psychology of the character. See also how he falls in love (magnificent Eva Green), and how the cold legend is forged (and reborn). For me the best film in James Bond series.
Daniel Craig is very good, but somehow rapidly fades away in following films of the franchise.
