Review of Casino Royale (1954) by Michael W — 29 Jul 2013
Okay movie! Daniel Craig is a modern Jason Bourne style Bond. The action scenes and the mannerism of the modern Bond is exacting to Jason Bourne character of the Bourne Identity. However, Craig can not deliver the humor of the other Bond's Pierce Bronson, and Roger Moore.
Daniel Craig Bond needs a more humorous edge. The Casino Royale script is exciting, but leaves the viewer hanging. The movie's strong point is the Bad guys characters. The characters are educated, cold and professional.
The scene with the guy who keeps tearing during the card game is memorable. I give Quantum of Solace three stars.
