Review of Casino Jack (2010) by Sara E — 20 Dec 2010
At times, it does come across as the Kevin Spacey Show. However, there's no denying Spacey's knack for the camera, as he gives us an energetic insight into the character of political lobbyist Jack Abramoff, and obviously has lots of fun doing it.
Spacey comfortably fits into his character here, and puts us at ease through what could otherwise be an uncomfortable look into greed and corruption. It's quite the feat to be able to entertain audiences with a film centered around D.
C. But both the filmmakers and Kevin Spacey pull it off by proving to us once and for all that politics truly is Hollywood for ugly people.
