Review of Casino Jack (2010) by Jack K — 09 Jan 2011
Casino Jack features Kevin Spacey's best performance in years, and it's astounding that he isn't receiving more awards consideration for his great work. The film, directed by the late great director George Hickenlooper, is a pretty savvy indictment on Washington and lobbyist culture, and although Jack Abramoff doesn't come off as a good guy by any means, we are able to understand that the very politicians who indicted Abramoff are just as guilty and culpable as he is.
A good companion piece to Inside Job and Fair Game.
