Review of Casino Jack (2010) by Charley G — 17 Jan 2011
Casino Jack tells the story of Lobbyist Jack Abramoff and the downward spiral that led to his eventual arrest. All in all Casino Jack is an average biopic and a Very Average job by all of the actors involved except for Kevin Spacey.
Kevin Spacey is electric, from the opening scene where spacey while brushing his teeth takes full control of the film and its main character to such a point that the opening min and half in its self is a good enough example of how good an actor Kevin Spacey can be.
Its Directed by George Hickenlooper who has made some pretty good stuff in the last few years this movie is not his best overall work at times the shots seem irrelevant and awkward and the editing at times is incredibly strange but from the first second its the Kevin Spacey Show and it becomes Jack Abramoffs world and were just living in it and thats why this film gets three stars and a golden globe nomination.
