Review of Casino (1995) by House M — 27 Nov 2012
One of Scorcese's best films, aside Raging Bull, Goddfellas, Mean Streets and Taxi Driver. We meet again with De Niro and Pesci of Goodfellas but also Sharon Stone. This biography of Rosenthal's life, a ruthless man sent by the mafia to manage casinos in Vegas is incredible.
The instinct of this character is nicely filmed. The dialogues are incredibly well written. The 1980's new rich kitsch atmosphere is very well described. Very good work. A must see if you like Scorcese.
