Review of Casino (1995) by Robby G — 16 Jan 2013
Scorsese rounds up the same cast and crew of Goodfellas for another adaptation of a Nicholas Pileggi novel, this time taking place in Vegas where a mobster runs a casino, and constantly has to watch his back from everybody including his friends and the woman he married and who never loved him.
The effect is a little inferior, but the style still has the same charm, and the De Niro and Pesci team is a winning on screen duo with their intense performances adding to the dangerously tense atmosphere.
