Review of Casino (1995) by Miroslav G — 31 Jan 2015
Rating 10/10: This is possibly Martin Scorsese's most critically underrated film. It is also one of the most brutal Mob films ever made. Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Sharon Stone are spectacular in this sprawling crime epic.
It's amazing to me that a film such as this is primarily narrative, spans almost 3 hours, and yet is so entertaining from start to finish. While not the best film of Scorsese's career, it is certainly a masterwork by one of America's greatest filmmakers of all time.
