Review of Cashback (2007) by Jonathan H — 16 Sep 2009
What you have here is a simple story about following your dreams told by endearing, funny characters all wrapped up in a film with the charm only an indie film can bring. Not only are those story elements well-done, but it looks good, and there are several really interesting shots, some of which involve one character moving amongst many frozen ones.
It's pretty jam-packed full of nudity, which probably could have been toned down, but at least there is a reason for it beyond just sticking in a gratuitous sex scene. And now that I've learned that one artist can stop time, I think I might try my hand it.
