Review of Cashback (2007) by Irma G — 14 Feb 2012
It's funny how a movie I came across on Netflix many days ago by pure coincidence, turns out to have such a nice effect on me. It is by no means perfect, its lack in production budget, and skimmed technical mistakes somewhat detracts from the beauty of it.
But it manages to retain a clear cut image of how wonderful a story with a dreamlike reality can be. It is a universe by itself, thus very successful as a film. Cashback probably has one of the worst titles I've ever seen, and it's a good example why not to judge a book by its cover.
Though I can see the depth of it from the outside, it is quite the poetic way down. Not to mention magical. Yep, there's quite a lot of it in here, oh and dreamy skin tones and bright melancholic colors, not much logic though, but a lot of feeling.
(Makes me think I should've ended this review before the last sentence.).
