Review of Case 39 (2009) by Katrine S — 06 Feb 2011
In search of any kind of movie I stumbled across the trailer for "Case 39" and thought it might actually be cool. Jodelle Ferland keeps playing creepy girl and she does a good job but Rene Zellweger didn't really fit the job.
In theory this movie got great potential (then again so did "The Winchester house" - never see that movie...) but somehow they run to fast to get a story inn and leave the creepy to some odd and expected points. We never get to wonder we always get to be told what we already know, and basically know the entire gist of the movie when 15-minutes has passed.
I got to say though that the opening with the kid and her parents were AWESOME! Kodos to the setting, the directing, the acting and the sicko :D Aso did like the bee's though kinda would have liked to see more mental torment than just plat dead.
Oh well... it has been seen. Can't say I would recomend it unless you really don't like "horror" but is being forced to watch, then see this one should be easy "horror"... although it is not a horror but a thriller. :D.
