The whole "child from hell" angle has been done to death, and despite a touch of misdirection in the ad campaign, CASE 39 brings nothing new to the table. Indeed, after a decent start, it becomes frankly tedious.
The haunt is the same as always: "What if crazy parents aren't actually crazy?".
