Casablanca is of a handful of films that's frequently branded as among the best ever made. I personally think that it's the only one in that lofty group that isn't even the tiniest bit overrated.
A gripping plot, brilliant acting, immortal dialogue, memorable music, and striking visuals make Casablanca both timely and timeless. I usually accept that everyone has their own opinion about movies, but in this case I firmly believe that anyone who doesn't like this film is just a tasteless contrarian.
