Review of Casablanca (1943) by Caesar M — 14 Feb 2012
Casablanca, do I need to say more great things about one of the greatest love story ever told that hasn't already said. It's a movie that has a place in my heart as well as others for being one of the best movie experience ever.
We all know the classic story, Casablanca is set in unoccupied Africa during the early days of World War II, as an American expatriate meets a former lover, with unforeseen complications. It's not a simple love story, it's complicated and passionate like in real life. You feel the passion, motivation, and the feeling only Casablanca can provide when watching a movie this perfect. I've yet to see another Romance story that gets better with age and I doubt Hollywood will ever match the memorable story, memorable characters, memorable dialogue, and one of the best ending to ever be filmed.
Casablanca is often considered to be one of the greatest movie of all time, and I agree. Not only do you have an iconic story, you also have iconic performances. These performances are meant to be watch, these performances are so great that you don't want the movie to end. There's so many things I could reach on like the score, the settings, direction, but other reviewers have done it already. The reason there so many people that love this movie is that it's one the few movies that's completely perfect and gets nothing wrong.
It doesn't matter if it's Valentine's Day or the fourth of July, you will be drawn into an unforgettable experience that you will carry into your heart. A love story as perfect as this should seen by everyone.
