Review of Casablanca (1943) by Nathan G — 03 Nov 2012
Classic film at its best. Transcends the film noir genre and adds a new level of touching realism to it with the WWII setting. As an FYI, the extras (some of whom were war refugees) did not know they were going to sing "La Marseillaise" in the film.
The tears in that scene are spontaneous, and real. Beautiful film overall.
