Review of Casablanca (1943) by Alan Z — 14 Aug 2013
You must like this movie, not because it is a timeless masterpiece, but because of sense. The screenplay is one of the greatest ever written for a Hollywood production. The context is the most attractive of the movie and although the performances are not too great, they contribute life to the colorful and very human characters depicted in the story.
It went from a simple Warner Brothers movie to a legend, that is the most impressive of it. The direction is quite unique and provides a very peculiar touch, suddenly the simple romance gets strength.
