You must remember this. If you don't, watch it again. Because that's the thing about Casablanca...it gets progressively MORE iconic and inedible each time you see it. It's been copied - and outright parodied (Hot Shots!) - so many times that it might take a while to surrender to.

..but once you do, the sentimental things will apply. Perfect encapsulation of the toughness AND the tenderness require to survive life on Earth in 1944 with one's soul intact. Perfect 40s Hollywood sets and lighting.

Perfect casting in every role. Bogie's performance as the heart-broken, noble, cynical sucker-hero is the pinnacle of movie star perfs. And that dialogue... As time goes by, you'll want to play it again.

And again. And again...
