Review of Casa de Mi Padre (2012) by Michael C — 19 Aug 2012
Will Ferrell in an homage/parody to Mexican films of the 1970's, "Casa De Mi Padre" is almost entirely in Spanish, is cheaply made, badly edited, and boldly serious in acting. But that is part of the joke, although it occasionally doesn't work.
It walks on a thin line between being hilarious and not, and some of the 'jokes' don't exactly work. The intentionally bad editing on some scenes are just badly done. But props to Ferrell who did his role entirely in Spanish.
Great job, gringo!
