Review of Cartel Land (2015) by Matt G — 02 Mar 2016
In our overly politicized world, it's easy to forget the complexities that exist in hot button issues, especially at the level of the individuals. Most human beings aren't villains, and Cartel Land brings that reality to the forefront in this brutally violent and largely engrossing tale of people on every side of the Mexican border.
If it didn't fizzle out a bit towards the end, it would've been even better. As is, it's still a pretty good non-fiction take on (the much better) Sicario.
