Review of Cars 3 (2017) by Alexanderluthor — 17 Jun 2017
Spoilers: While the film had great potential with a good plot line, ultimately, it was poorly executed. I like the idea of 'retired racer finds new life as a trainer', but I found it hard to like Cruz Ramirez and I was left more interested in Smokey and the storyline around the Hudson Hornet.
I also think the storyline went a little wonky. I would have rather seen Lighting crash, then try a comeback, fail, then go see Smokey and discover the potential for a new life as a trainer where he discovers a new racer with the potential to beat Storm.
Then, he/she wins in the final race at the end with the help of Lightning who taps into the advice from the Hudson Hornet.
