Failing to continue the momentum from the success of such films as 'Toy Story' (1995), 'Finding Nemo' (2003), and 'The Incredibles' (2004), Disney and Pixar's 'Cars' has an energetic opening act and is always good to look at, but settles for a pace far too casual to keep its audience involved.
Owen Wilson offers charm to protagonist Lightning McQueen, but he simply cannot save the yawn-inducing proceedings. Watchable, but rather disappointing.
