Why do some people not like this movie? Cars was at the time considered Pixar's worst movie to date. I just don't understand that. Nothing about it has hinted being mediocre to me. I felt that the movie had a strong story, with great character development and a ton of heart, not to mention a great soundtrack (and this is coming from a guy who generally does NOT like country).
Lightning McQueen is an arrogant race car who finds himself lost amongst a town full of "hillbillies". The fact that McQueen must set aside his ego and think about the others around him is why I think this movie is great.
I've heard some complaints that it 'doesn't make sense that Pixar would try to humanize cars'. But I don't see the difference between that and rats or bugs or monsters. Cars is a great movie.
5 out of 5. However, the sequel, Cars 2, ehh different review, different time.
