It's fatal flaw is that it tries to be a lot of things it isn't. And Mater is funniest as a supporting character or the main character of a 4 minute short. Not a 106 minute movie. But with some laugh out loud moments and beautiful visuals and wonderful 3D.
Cars 2 isn't a COMPLETE failure. But it is lesser Pixar. Works better with a Cars marathon. With Toy Story 3 FAR away.
