First of all, if you're going to do a sequel, why choose the weakest film in your catalog? Trying to put right what once went wrong? If that was the goal, Cars 2 succeeds in adding what the original was missing: an interesting story.
Unfortunately, it lost what the original had: heart... and a polished script.
