Review of Cars 2 (2011) by Randy J — 26 Jan 2013
The idea of anthropomorphized cars seemed silly, but Cars I won me over. Cars II is colorful, action packed, and Mater once again steals the show. The touristic montage moments of Tokyo, Paris and England are delightfully comical and endearing.
As a sometime shade-tree mechanic, I found the auto techno-babble not only hilarious, but truthfully spot in the money (am I the only one in who laughed at Mater's opinion of British Whitworth bolts?).
So the writers took the time to get the technical aspects right, so what? It means the writer devoted the time to get it all right. Mater comes through, continuously pulling on our heart strings and winning us over, yet again.
