Why make a sequel to Cars when you could have made a sequel to The Incredibles or Finding Nemo? It doesn't make sense. Cars was my least favourite of the Pixar films (before Brave) and I didn't enjoy it as a child.
Cars 2 isn't a terrible movie. Its just really dumb. Full of toilet jokes, and stupid characters with a flawed execution. Cars 2 is the first official dud in Pixar history. It isn't interesting.
It isn't engaging. It's just silly. Children will probably enjoy it, and the animation is great. But, with so many great Pixar films out there Cars 2 is hard to recommend.
