Review of Cars 2 (2011) by James W — 01 Nov 2013
The landscape shots of London, Italy and Tokyo look stunning and the amount of light and detail is astounding making Cars 2 the most vibrant and colourful Pixar film for years, truly amazing graphics and animation that just makes this movie jaw dropping to look at.
I can't get over the landscape, that's probably my favourite aspect of this film and in 3D it's an exciting adventure. The story is just awesome, like a spy movie but with a heck of a lot of comedy, and talking cars.
The voice acting is just great, Emily Mortimer and Michael Caine especially, they stand out the most as undercover agents Finn MacMissile and Holly Shiftwell. This sequel is just a massive leap from the first, although the first was hard to beat Cars 2 races over the competition thanks to it's utterly fantastic animation, great voice acting and amazing race scenes and action chases, this is the most entertaining animated film since The Incredibles.
