One of the reasons why Cars 2 was made into a movie was simply because Cars merchandise went to the roof with the first movie. I'm not saying that Cars 2 is a horrible movie it just wasn't balance right with McQueen's racing and Mater's spy mission.
It's still an enjoyable film, but wasn't very creative.
