Review of Cars 2 (2011) by Salman K — 13 Jun 2013
One might think: "It's Pixar. They can't go wrong." Unfortunately, this sequel reminds that you can only go so far on keeping a perfect track record. Trading the predecessor's heart and theme of slowing down for an unwanted and rehashed spy plot, plus sidelining the main cheese to give the spotlight to the fun-yet-gets-on-your-nerves sidekick, only the top-notch animation can keep your eyes glued to the screen.
Is it a bad film in general? Not really. But it's a disappointing Pixar release.
