Review of Carry On Jack (1964) by Luke H — 06 Jun 2009
Sadly a fairly average entry in the canon. Bernard Cribbins gamely mugs his way through, Kenneth Williams sleepwalks through the main role (though his delirium is laugh out loud), but all in all, it feels like a tired retread of cliches, half jokes and a lack of plot (which, odd as it is to say, is a major part of the successful Carry Ons).
Passes the time, as opposed to offending, but very average.
