Review of Carry On at Your Convenience (1971) by Calum B — 14 Jul 2011
The Carry On ensamble takes a political stand...
...Against the Union.
This strange value may explain why this movie did so poor sales in comparasion with many of the other carry ons.
However, all the best of the cast are in place and are going about in classic style. When Kenneth Williams in the role of W.C Boggs, owner and director of the lavatory factory proclaims that it's time for a "right good booze-up" then the movie transcends into epic frenzy as theese movies always eventually do.
One great bonus we get here is the appearance of Geoffrey Huges, more known as the hero Onslow in Keeping Up Appearances,.
Not the best, but not really bad, Carry on, please do.
Lewis Boggs: You may not understand exactly what it means, but since I have been working in this factory I have been making a time and motion study.
Chloe Moore: Oh I know what it means Mr Lewis and if you've got the time I've certainly got the motion.
Lewis Boggs: Don't think I haven't noticed it Mrs Moore, especially in your main production department.
Chloe Moore: Oh you cheeky devil.
