Review of Carrie (2013) by Chris N — 21 Feb 2014
In terms of writing and directing, the Brian De Palma classic knocks this remake out of the damn park, however for a remake in 2013, this is fairly decent compared to some of the other studio-driven dreck that's been released (I'm looking at you, Evil Dead).
Elevated by terrific performances from Chloe Moretz and Julianne Moore, and a strong final act, Carrie is nowhere near as bad as it could have been, and that really is saying a lot.
