Review of Carrie (2013) by Beth M — 25 Mar 2014

I was very disappointed in this movie. The only thing that I truly liked about it was Julianne Moore's portrayal of Ms. White, and I also rather liked the opening scene which I think enhanced the plot.

As for the rest of it, it was completely, and utterly predictable, and not simply because it is a remake, but because you knew exactly what and where the director was going to up the violence, and go for the shock value of the gruesomeness of it.

In this case they should have heeded the old adage "if it ain't broken don't fix it".
