This is a forgettable and overall unnecessary remake since all of us pretty much know everything that's going to happen. This may sound weird but the prom scene would have benefitted more if it used style over substance.
I mean, we all know that she is going to kill almost everyone at the prom but it needs to be stylish or else we are just watching a bunch of people getting murdered which is just slightly distasteful.
Other than that, the suspense up to the prom scene was pretty well done. It wasn't surprising though.
