"Carrie" 10 Scale Rating: 6.5 (Decent) ...
The Good: Not a bad remake, mostly following the source material and is a clear ode to the original. Chloe Grace-Moretz was fantastic and you can tell she is a fan of the original and worked hard to make sure she did the character justice. A few scenes were genuinely creepy.
The Bad: Unfortunately, it just feels like an unnecessary film. While the updated effects were nice at times, the original film stands up well and doesn't feel dated ... even today. While they wanted to stay true to the original, that almost feels like their downfall.
