Review of Carrie (2013) by Jim S — 09 Apr 2015
I'm not sure why it was necessary to make this movie as the original version from 1976 directed by Brian De Palma is such a classic and perhaps one of the best of the Stephen King adaptations. While this one feature some strong acting from Moore and Moretz (sounds like a law firm), the directing misses the mark and it just sort of rambles around.
The supporting actors are pretty much week and overall it just doesn't work. It does have some pretty good visuals, as it should have as film technology has improved a lot over the past 40 years.
