Review of Carrie (2013) by Aj V — 12 Aug 2015
Carrie is a remake to the Stephan King book adaptation, Carrie. Easy, right? I can totally 100% understand why this movie got a lot of negative talk. For me, this movie was not even a horror, but more of a action type of film, and I had really really fun watching this film. The characters in this film are great, the mother is completely and violently insane, and a lot of people in this film did a great job. At times, you can see they are doing exactly, and I mean exactly, what they did in the original film, and it fails (not in the prom scene, I'll tell you that). Overall, this movie is not meant to scare you, but is more for just laughs and having fun and succeeding at being for the most of the running time of the film, very entertaining.
Grade: B+.
