This really wasn't terrible for a remake. Not awesome but not bad either.
The casting was done well, whoever the lead actress was, she did capture the innocence and brutality of the character well, I'm not sure there are any other actresses that could have pulled thst off in that age bracket.
The story is very true to the original, it literally is a remake almost scene for scene, which I think really worked. often remakes take the original and put a totally different spin on things, trying to improve it but falling short. This did not attempt to change much of anything, just maybe relaunched a movie that has a wide cult following for anyone over the age of 30 (original version).
