Review of Carousel of Revenge (2007) by Lizzy T — 20 Nov 2008
:rotten: :rotten: (out of four).
There are moments in this film when you think it might break out and become a better movie. The director is sure handed and has an eye for capturing a mood and idea. Unfortunately the script gets in the way..

Overweight Frances is accused of a horrible murder. While in jail he fakes his own death. Two years later he returns to the small town that condemned and tortured him. Now he is ripped and ready to unleash some revenge..

The performances range from fair (most of the cast) to pretty good. Tac Fitzgerald in the lead is perfectly cast and holds the film together. He is a star in the making and could go on to bigger things. I just wished the plot hadn't been quite so convaluted and allowed the characters to become more real..

No too bad for it's genre and low-budget..
