Review of Carol (2015) by Craig M — 16 Mar 2016
TH has an oddly muted palette here. I don't find it as visually appealing as his previous films. There are a few changes from the novel which are unnecessary, but these changes are not glaringly offensive.
I don't like Blanchett but she is perfectly cast as the cold, distant and distracted Carol.
More appropriately cast is RM as Therese. She has to be sympathetic, given that it's her story.
