Lush and gorgeous to look at, this left me desperate to move to 1950's New York and gaze through a taxi window.
Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett are both note-perfect.
The story would be clichéd if it were a heterosexual couple, but it is great to a queer love story believably and delicately explored, with the usual punishment tropes avoided.
