Review of Carol (2015) by Johnnyc — 13 Jan 2016
Technically well crafted, but completely misses the mark. The cast is given very little to do but to stare at each other. We have no clue what motivates the characters, and have to wonder why are they attracted to each other in the first place.
We see no real development of a relationship between the two women. And to cap things off, when Ms. Blanchett get some to show us her acting chops, the director cuts away to another character staring.
........big letdown!! Don't be fooled the by the hype.
