Review of Carol (2015) by Valerie K — 23 Jan 2016
Beautifully shot with great period detail, this film has no one thing that makes it so great. The two lead performances are very apart in style but both compelling in equal measure, the slowly flowing direction and vision of Todd Haynes makes this adaptation of the famous source into a very poignant and relevant trip to the cinema.
