Carol is fairly uneventful and predictable with nothing Oscar worthy from either Rooney Mara or Cate Blanchett. Our culture is in a strange place when we celebrate the pioneering events of an older woman sexually preying on a vulnerable and confused younger woman.
..in a time period when such behavior was unacceptable.
