I think since Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara fuse well, it makes this film a success. Their blazing performances are startlingly great. With some very accurate direction from Todd Haynes, with a slow but very pronounced script.
I would expect that this would win at least 2 oscars and it is well beyond its merit.
