Review of Carol (1974) by David K — 16 Mar 2016

Both the movie and the book stick in my head in part because their are lesbians in my family and we grew up in the same homophobic time period as the movie took place. I thought the movie overdone cinematically.

Its one of those movies wanting to be an art film. The scenes looking out of the characters are great and those looking at the characters are too many. The acting could have otherwise earned an Oscar or two.
