Utter tripe, with special effects that could be bettered by simply buying a couple of toys out of the back of the Argos catalogue. That said, it gets three stars just to draw your attention to the fact that it is actually based on a trashy yet entertaining novel of the same name by the late great Harry Adam Knight, which was published several years before Michael Crichton had the same idea.
So there.
