Review of Carnival of Souls (1962) by Chris O — 17 Jun 2007
A great little low-budget thriller from the 1960s, this film is creepy and unsettling throughout. The film influenced everyone from George A. Romero to Peter Jackson (try and tell me PJ DIDN'T lift the scene when the zombie opens its eyes underwater for the scene when Frodo, Sam and Gollum are traversing the marshes in The Two Towers).
