Review of Carnage (2014) by Mandy L — 03 Mar 2013
The cast attracts me a lot, Roman Polanski, Kate Winslet, Christopher Waltz, Jodie Foster and John Reilly, what a five star combination! And I was looking forward to a fierce quarrel that will rise my room's temperature.
It was interesting but didnt increase my blood pressure, probably because the tension is too gentle.
Since the movie is happened in a room, it depends on both acting and conversation of four main characters. With the perfect cast, no doubt in acting for sure. So, the only thing matters is the script which is quite jumpy and barely shaping characters' personality until the end of the movie. But I am thinking whether this tactic is done on purpose to describe the ugly side of social community (maintain a generous image at first while expose the disguise at last).
Kate is fake and I love her in this movie.
