Review of Carnage (2014) by Daniel I — 18 Mar 2013
Even at 1 hour and 20 minutes, this is almost too much of a good thing. the pairing of Jodie Foster and John C. Reilly vs Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz in a tony New York apartment that is initially about a fight their two boys had that turns into an arguement about rodents, cell phones, Africa, you name it.
All of it is darkly funny, but it loses it's steam about the 45 minute mark (oddly enough, when people start drinking) to successfully come to a conclusion. Still, this is quite funny most of the time (Christoph Waltz is pretty much the dryest funniest guy in the house) and engaging despite it being in only one place.
